Our Mission
The Alexandria Bar Foundation is the 501 (c)(3) sister organization to the Alexandria Bar Association. Since its founding, the Alexandria Bar Foundation has proven itself to be both an exemplary and necessary non-profit organization in Northern Virginia, providing Alexandria residents with direct access to the legal community. Through both educational and charitable activities, the Alexandria Bar Foundation works to ensure that all residents have equal access to the justice system.
The Alexandria Bar Foundation works tirelessly to improve the public’s understanding of and access to the justice system -- whether that be through law related education for minors, pro bono programs, or fundraisers.
About Us
The Foundation of the Alexandria Bar Association is the charitable arm of the association. The foundation provides scholarships to Alexandria high school students and provides grants to local organizations for projects that have at least one of the following purposes and that will primarily serve residents of the City of Alexandria:
1. The provision of legal services to indigent individuals;
2. Improvements in the legal system;
3. Improvements in the access of individuals to the legal system;
4. Improvements in the administration of justice; and
5. The provision of legal or law-related education.
The Alexandria Bar Foundation promotes equal justice for all in Alexandria. As the charitable arm of the Alexandria Bar Association, the Alexandria Bar Foundation pursues its commitment to creating a more just society by working towards equal access to the justice system and providing law-related education opportunities throughout the Alexandria community.

Jazz4Justice
All proceeds support the Alexandria Bar Foundation, Legal Services of Northern Virginia, and NoVa Alexandria’s music scholarship fund.

Beat the Odds Scholarship
The Alexandria Bar Foundation, through its Beat the Odds® program, provides thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to Alexandria youth who overcome adversity and are college-bound. Our event at the Little Theatre of Alexandria is our biggest fundraiser.

Titan Law
The Alexandria Bar Foundation is pleased to launch our newest initiative called Titan Law at Alexandria City High School this Spring.

There are several ways in which individuals can engage in legal charity work to support various causes. Getting involved with Alexandria Bar Foundation can be a rewarding and meaningful way to support important causes, make a difference in the community, and develop professional skills and connections.
